Key Responsibilities
- ✓Reading technical drawings and marine blueprints
- ✓Measuring, marking, and cutting steel plates
- ✓Fitting hull sections and structural frames
- ✓Tack welding and aligning components
- ✓Working on dry docks, shipyards, and marine fabrication environments
- ✓Repair/refit work on commercial vessels, naval ships and offshore structures
Requirements
- ✓Minimum 3+ years of shipbuilding, marine fabrication, or heavy steel structural fitting experience
- ✓Experience working on ship hulls, marine vessels, offshore structures, or large steel fabrication projects
- ✓Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and fabrication blueprints
- ✓Experience using fabrication tools, grinders, cutting equipment, measuring tools, and fitting machinery
- ✓Strong understanding of health & safety procedures in industrial or shipyard environments
- ✓Experience with steel alignment, plate fitting, structural assembly, and tack fitting
- ✓Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- ✓Basic English communication skills preferred
- ✓Welding experience (MIG/TIG/Stick) is advantageous but not essential
- ✓Relevant trade qualification or certification preferred
