Solar Installation Engineer

About the Role

We are seeking a reliable and motivated Solar Installation Engineer to join our growing renewable energy team. The successful candidate will be responsible for the installation, testing, commissioning, and maintenance of solar photovoltaic (PV) systems across residential, commercial, and industrial sites. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced installer looking to work on exciting renewable energy projects while contributing to the UK's clean energy transition.

Key Responsibilities

• ✓Install solar photovoltaic (PV) panels, mounting systems, and associated equipment.
• ✓Carry out site preparation and system setup in accordance with technical specifications.
• ✓Assist with electrical connections and commissioning of solar installations.
• ✓Conduct inspections and quality checks to ensure installations meet industry standards.
• ✓Diagnose and resolve installation-related issues and faults.
• ✓Complete installation reports, job sheets, and project documentation.
• ✓Ensure compliance with all health, safety, and environmental regulations.
• ✓Work closely with project managers, electricians, and site teams.
• ✓Maintain tools, equipment, and company vehicles in good condition.
• ✓Provide professional customer service while working on client sites.

Requirements

• ✓Previous experience installing solar PV systems.
• ✓Experience working on construction, roofing, or renewable energy projects.
• ✓Good understanding of solar installation techniques and best practices.
• ✓Ability to work safely at heights and in outdoor environments.
• ✓Knowledge of UK health and safety regulations.
• ✓Strong practical and problem-solving skills.
• ✓Ability to read installation drawings and technical instructions.
• ✓Full driving licence.
• ✓Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• ✓Right to work in the United Kingdom.
